Saving Energy at Home

A new book, from the people at Hockerton Housing Project (and they know a thing or two about the subject), has just been published.

Written by Nick White, director of the project, the book contains a great deal of practical advice on heating, hot and cold water, electricity and appliances, stand-by systems, lighting, cooling systems and even how to manage your teenager's use of energy!

As Nick writes...” I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity of joining the Hockerton Housing Project and going on a very real and practical journey of creating the ultimate in low energy living. I hope experiences of living in very different types of properties has allowed me to reflect in this book, realism but also aspiration, both in financial and environmental terms. By the way my last quarterly energy bill was £15.70!”

So, if you need an energy audit and some achievable strategies, this might just be the book for you.
