Electronics retailer Maplin has launched National Solar Week from 18th – 24th June. Not only have they produced a special website, packed full of information, advice and tips to help you take advantage of solar products and energy saving devices, but their 124 stores around the country will be packed full of solar products.
Recent research indicates that Brits waste the most energy in Europe so it seems a good time to explore some simple ways to help cut that statistic and save money in the process. National Solar Week is part of Maplin’s long term vision to ensure that people throughout the UK can make a few simple eco-lifestyle changes and collectively make a difference to the future of the planet.
The National Solar Week Website has over 44 products to help you as well as downloadable guides and an online petition you can sign to campaign for the removal of VAT on energy efficient products sold in the UK. Visit www.nationalsolarweek.co.uk

The EcoList is a service organised by Karina Wells and Andy Pepper. Karina has been involved with community and eco/sustainable issues for many years and introduced the EcoTeam concept to the UK. Andy is involved with the visual arts and arts funding. They met as part of the first EcoTeams project in West Bridgford, Nottingham, and have worked together on a variety of community projects since.
Karina's expertise in eco issues and Andy's curiosity for eco art and design means that the EcoList brings you a broad (if slightly quirky) collection of information, news and events from the web.
This site aims to provide you with some of the best Eco and Recycling products and information we can find. EcoList is not connected with any of the products or services listed and all images are taken from sites featured.
